This is the 1:600 scale S.S. United States, restored by Michael Cook.

Bow view of the model before restoring; original paint has been stripped though some of the original colors still faintly show. All molded railing has been removed. Bow forefoot needed a plastic insert added so the bow would be straight to waterline.

This stern photo shows work beginning in restoration. The deckhouse on the boat deck had to be rebuilt from scratch using Evergreen stock, as the original was warped beyond repair.

This is how she looks today, only remaining work left is to apply rigging, railing.
